So whilst all my previous posts are beauty based, I'm going to start introducing different topics.. (Just to spice things up a little!)
First topic being, positive thinking..
This is something I need to drum into my own head a lot so I wanted to share with you guys how I try to make that work, we all can have an off day where we think every possible little thing is going wrong and it creates a long list of one thing after another getting progressively worse.
Whether it be issues at work, bickering with family/friends, checking your bank balance and being disappointed.. Whatever it may be these are what I try to do to think positively about the matter to get me through that tough day and aim for the next to be a better one..
1. I always try to have something to look forward to, whether it be a weekend away or holiday even in 6 months time, I will always look forward to that event and be thankful that it's planned and will be a treat and makes me smile to stop and think "Breathe and think about *destination*"
2. I reassure myself by reading positive life quotes.. This may sound like a sad act to do and some can be so cliche but I find they really do work, such as "Things don't get better by worrying about them" this especially is a big thing for me.. I seem to have this theory in the back of my brain that if I overthink the situation and sit up all night worrying about it it'll get so much better.. (WRONG! Of course.) So by reassuring myself with little quotes now and again I just remember to think positive.
3. Confide in someone, have that person you can just completely spill to.. Whether it be cry, scream or talk to.. Have that someone. You need to switch off from the negative thoughts at that time and the best way is to get it off your chest. I'm guilty for letting things bottle up inside and then snap once I've reached breaking point but slowly I'm adjusting to turning to my lovely supportive boyfriend who listens to me rambling on about anything and everything, having a little cry and a cuddle then I'm all better again and you'll find that person will reassure you, most probably, with one of the quotes you find from trying out point 2!
And lastly, one person I find so inspiring and positive, who's YouTube video's I also turn to when I'm feeling down and need that positive push is Kandee Johnson (here is her YouTube link) a recent one being 5 Ways To Have An Awesome Day & Life really made me smile and think YES, I will have an awesome day and an even awesome-r life!
I hope you guys enjoy this post and please let me know if you'd like more like this..
